Serengeti National Park

Swala Camp

Swala Camp is located in the
Tarangire National Park in northern
Tanzania.  It is situated on open
grassland on the edge of the ‘Gursi’
swamp, making it an attractive
proposal for thirsty elephant during the dry months.  Driving to Tarangire is
fascinating: not only because of the vast array of elephants that you usually pass,
but the contrasting bright terracotta earth and the lush greenery are stunning.  It’s
a very beautiful place and Swala camp is in a small secluded corner, giving it
absolute tranquillity.

Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops is located just outside the Tarangire National Park, just on
the north-eastern boundary.  Tarangire is in Northern Tanzania and famous
for its amazing Baobab tree population and elephant migration.  The lodge is
a two hour drive from the Manyara airstrip or an hour from the Kuro airstrip
which is in Tarangire itself.  But this drive is part of your Tanzania safari!
The main lodge is extremely impressive!  Built around an old Baobab
tree, the open plan living area is spacious and extremely welcoming.  The

Kirurumu Tented Camp

Kirurumu Camp is located on the edge of Lake Manyara National Park about
a 30 minute drive from Manyara airstrip and about 2 hours from Arusha.
Kirurumu is owned by the Serena chain and has managed to remain extremely atmospheric with an owner run feel to it. The rooms are
tented and raised slightly off the ground with a wooden decking, of which each has an amazing view of the Great Rift valley of Lake
Manyara National Park.
